He gave the responsibility of this to the State Federation and Seed Federation. He said that useful species of plants including long-term and shady should be planted. Minister Shri Sarang said that the master plan should be such that lakhs of plants are planted throughout the year along with conservation and promotion. Minister Shri Sarang planted an Ashoka tree in the Apex Bank premises on Thursday under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam program on the occasion of World Environment Day. Sanatan Dharma gives the message of environment - Minister Shri Sarang said that it is our responsibility to conserve and promote the environment and make the coming generation aware. Our culture, Sanatan, philosophy, religion, thoughts are all connected with the environment. Environment means trees, plants, mountains, rivers and eco system to which humans, animals and birds are all connected. Indian culture does not consider river as a water body, our spiritual philosophy considers river as mother. We worship Narmada Maiya and Ganga Maiya, worship the mountain as God. We do parikrama of Govardhan mountain and Kamtanath ji. Women celebrate 5-6 such festivals in a year in which trees are circumambulated. Festivals like Hartalika Teej have special significance. Not only this, animals and birds are the vehicles of God. While on one hand Shivaji has worn a snake, on the other hand he has brought mother Ganga to earth through his matted hair. Our entire philosophy, Sanatan, religion, thoughts give the message of environmental protection.
Development should be with heritage-Minister Shri Sarang said that when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi talked about development, he talked about taking the heritage along. Development means that the environment is not harmed and trees are not cut. Setting up factories is necessary for development and the future. Therefore, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav decided through the cabinet that as many forests should be planted as industrial areas are developed. The message of Prime Minister Shri Modi's Ek Ped Maa Naam is that trees should be planted to make Mother Earth sustainable.
