Madhya Pradesh is leading in the country in computerization of primary credit cooperative societies: Shah
- April 30, 2025
On Sunday, under the International Cooperative Year 2025, a state level cooperative conference HR 1 was organized in the capital Bhopal. In this program, Union Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah reached Bhopal as the chief guest. On reaching Bhopal, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav welcomed Amit Shah by presenting a bouquet of flowers. The Chief Minister presided over the program organized in Ravindra Auditorium. On this occasion, MP BD Sharma, Cooperative Minister Vishwas Sarang, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry (Independent Charge) Lakhan Patel and other senior officials were present. During this, an MoU was signed between Madhya Pradesh Milk Union and National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). Along with this, six separate MoUs were also signed between six milk companies of Madhya Pradesh and NDDB.
Amit Shah said on this occasion that Madhya Pradesh is first in the country in computerization of primary credit cooperative societies, which is a big thing. Shah said that a lot of work needs to be done to exploit the immense potential in all three sectors of agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperation. For years, the cooperative movement in the country was sluggish. The situation of cooperative movement was different in different states of the country. Decisions were not taken to enrich it and change the law according to the changing situation of the country. There was no vision to increase agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperation in the states. But the country's visionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi created the Ministry of Cooperation for the first time on the 75th anniversary of independence and being its first minister, we made big changes in this sector in the last three and a half years. The Ministry of Cooperation did its first work - made model bylaws for agricultural committees and sent them to the states. Today the whole of India has accepted this model bylaw. When your intentions are right, the results are also favorable. Shah said that the PACS that used to do small finance work earlier are now doing more than 20 works. Madhya Pradesh should increase milk production
Shah said in his address that Madhya Pradesh has a milk production capacity of 5.5 crore liters per year, which is 9 percent of the country. The farmers here have to be linked with cooperative dairy. Selling milk in open markets is exploiting them. Milk production has to be increased. Animals' umbilical cord has to be improved, milk products have to be prepared. Madhya Pradesh has to do all these works. Milk collection system is available only in 17 percent villages of the state. After today's contract, the reach of cooperatives will increase to 83 percent villages of the state. The target should be to reach 50 percent in the first year. Currently, there are only 7 thousand milk committees in the state. The urban demand of milk in the country is 1 crore 20 lakh liters per day. The Madhya Pradesh government should set its targets afresh. The number of villages should be increased. In collaboration with NBDD, milk dairy should be expanded to at least 50 percent villages in the first year.
Milk production has to be increased from 9% to 24%: Chief Minister
Chief Minister D Mohan Yadav said that on Ambedkar Jayanti we have started Kamdhenu Bhivalan Yojana. Tomorrow Seva Yojana will start. If someone rears 25 cows, he will be given 25% subsidy. Our body growth rate has become amazing, but milk production has to be increased from 9% to 24%. If there is no land for farming, then animal husbandry can be done very well. Work was done on these points in the cooperative conference. MoU was signed between NDDB and MPC DM. Shah distributed approvals for increasing the number of PACS.
Loan letters and Kisan Credit Cards were also distributed.
Under CP PP, the contract for the procurement and cultivation of Pusa Basmati rice was executed by Vigyan Lodha, Managing Director of Majestic Group Mahideep, with Bhaskar Sharma, Committee Manager of PACS Ghat Pipariya District Raisen. In the programme, approved loans were also given for business expansion of the identified PACS.
