Mother-Father Devotion Day, pledge of service, respect and trust

Pratkal Uthi Kai Raghunatha, Maatu-Pita Guru Nawahi Matha. Meaning- Lord Shri Ram wakes up in the morning and bows his head to his parents and Guru. If the soul of our Indian Sanatan culture is contained in any value, then it is in devotion and service towards parents. This is not just a family responsibility, but the ideal of life, which has kept our civilization and culture alive, awake and bright for thousands of years.

The advice described in our scriptures, Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava, is not just a Sanskrit verse, it is the philosophy of our life. The place of parents is the best and most revered in the world. They have a place equal to the gods. In the family and society where service to parents is given priority, religion, peace and prosperity always reside there. Their presence is like a living temple.
The history of Indian Sanatan culture is full of many such examples where sons dedicated their lives to the service of their parents. Lord Shri Ram's exile is a unique example of obedience and devotion to the father, while the story of Shravan Kumar remains an ideal of service to parents even today. Parents not only give birth to us, but also show us the path of life through their sacrifice, hard work and love. They are our first teacher, first protector and first guide. The life of my respected father, late Shri Kailash Narayan Sarang ji, founder member of Madhya Pradesh BJP and Rajya Sabha MP, has been an embodiment of service, principles and sacrifice. His life was not only a glorious chapter in politics, but through his life values, he has spread morality, value consciousness and social consciousness from family to society. Revered father's dream was that every parent and elders should get the respect and service they deserve. Revered father's life was such a mirror in which service, morality and dedication towards society was reflected. Following the ideals of service he presented, we have resolved to celebrate his birth anniversary on 2 June and death anniversary on 14 November as Mother-Father Devotion Day every year. This is not just an event, but an idea, a feeling and a resolution to connect the society and future generations to their roots.

My respected mother Late Smt. Prasun Sarang Ji always taught the values of dedication towards the society and made the Sarang family cultured. She always supported my respected father in his service work by becoming his strength. Till her last days, she kept walking shoulder to shoulder with my respected father in every work for the upliftment and welfare of the society. The contribution given by her to the society is unforgettable. Respecting parents and elders is not only a duty, but also our religion.

Parents may not be with us physically, but their love, blessings and inspiration keep guiding us every moment. When they are not among us, every elderly person becomes a symbol of parents. Come, let us all together make this sacred resolution a part of our lives. Light the lamp of service and respect for our parents as well as every elder in the society. This will be the true tribute to our ancestors and this will be the biggest responsibility for our future generations.
